Glorified Black Mass Whitey Bulger

Black Mass - gangster drama without Sienna Miller

The crime thriller Black Mass with Johnny Depp in the role of the Boston gangster Whitey Bulger is currently being celebrated by the critics and could be the chance for Depp to achieve another success besides his Jack Sparrow image. Actress Sienna Miller will not share in the success. Because her role as Bulger's friend when he was on the run from the FBI was removed in the final cut of the film. Scott Cooper, the director, confirmed this and justified the decision with the fact that they wanted to concentrate more on Bulger's time in Boston and made other parts of the film, hiding from the FBI, shorter.

The scenes may be shown later on Blu-ray. As separate deleted scenes or even in a longer version of the film.

The film comes out on October 15, 2015 in German cinemas.
