Fix problems with taking over the price hit

With the option Take over the price hit all active offers on Amazon are taken into account, including products sold by Amazon. However, it may not be available for some offers for the following reasons:

  • Your shipping costs are at least equal to or higher than the lowest price.
    • Example: You are selling an item for $ 1.00 plus $ 3.00 shipping. Seller B is selling the same item for $ 0.5 plus $ 2.50 shipping. Your shipping costs alone ($ 3.00) are equal to Seller B's total price ($ 3.00). For this reason, you can only adjust your price to the price hit when you lower your shipping costs.
  • There is an active sale transaction for the listing.
    • With the option Take over the price hit no offers with active sales transactions will be considered.
    • You can either remove the sales transaction or the function Take over the price hit activate after the sales transaction is over.
  • There are no shipping costs for the offer.
    • This may be because your offer is inactive.
    • This is not the same as configuring the price settings without showing the shipping.

The shipping settings can also refer to the option Take over the price hit impact.

  • If you have set your shipping rates and settings based on price ranges, no shipping costs are displayed and the option Take over the price hit is based on the item price only.
  • If you have specified in the settings that the shipping costs are not displayed, the option Take over the price hit only the item price is taken into account.

How "Apply price hit" works

This example shows in detail how Take over the price hit is working.

You have an offer for a product in the condition "used - like new". The listing is shipped from the seller for $ 26.00 plus $ 5.50 shipping costs (listing 2 in the image below). You have a 93% customer rating and your turnaround time is 48 hours. There are 3 other offers on Amazon for the same product. According to the overview below, the currently lowest price would be selected as follows:

  • Offer 1 ($ 29.00): Indicates whether your settings for comparing price hits are set so that all offers are compared in all states, with all shipping methods, all customer reviews and all processing times.
  • Offer 3 ($ 29.50): Shows whether your settings for comparing price hits are set so that all offers are compared in the same condition, with all shipping methods, all customer reviews and similar processing times.
  • Offer 4 ($ 30.00): Shows whether your settings for comparing price hits are set so that all offers with the same condition details and the same shipping methods, with the same or higher customer ratings and the same or faster processing times are compared.
