Paper collage
20 x 20 cm

The result is the series Vienna Gold Rush in spring 2020 during the lockdown in Berlin - like an echo of the trip to Vienna in February, under the impression of the great works of Klimt, Schiele and Hundertwasser and the architecture of Otto Wagner and Adolf Loos. The result was a series of 63 small collages made of fantastic Asian papers, always with a lot of gold and silver, scooped, embossed and printed, with fibers and threads in an abundance of patterns, fonts and reports ...
The colored surfaces are always torn, the gold elements are cut out with fine scissors, and each collage varies a color tone.

New in the world: one of the few sculptures that does not stand on one point, but rather stably on four feet. The little four-legged friend with the conspicuous shell drawing still looks lively, has straightened up, looks into the air and wants to start running right away. Lines run upwards from the feet and meet in a small corner ...

Shell limestone (so-called Altdorf marble)
14 x 10 x 16 cm

The Bavarian Altdorf marble is inextricably linked with the name Johann Friedrich Bauder. The Kommerzienrat, who died in 1791, began grinding marble in his Altdorf factory in the middle of the 18th century after studying a rock layer with ammonites in the Berger area. As a result, Bauder sold console plates, stick knobs, tobacco boxes, as well as grave monuments and baptismal fonts made of "his" marble, works of art that were even highly valued at European royal courts.

A sound in green - wonderful Japanese paper with gold and green squares, spiral print, stripes and pattern repeats. Lumpy gold elements on a black background balance with dots and rows of dots and keep the composition in balance. The collage is also about movement, equilibrium, balance, equilibrium and tension - just like in the sculpture!

Capers since 2009! Almost all of them (with the exception of the last one in 2020) were made from white Carrara marble, which has been polished to a high degree and which lets light through in some places. With this powerful shape, the two ends are still connected in a tiny area, as if the moment of solution is imminent ...

A look into the cavity: the interior is not simply a straight, drilled cylinder, but swings in two large curved surfaces towards the tips. The complexity of the form, which seems so 'simple', only becomes apparent when you follow and feel it with your hands!

The shape of this small sculpture is related to Holly Golightly, Fine chicken, Pippihendl and the chick made of bronze and marble, which have been created in new variations over and over again in recent years. Pepita 02
2019
Shell limestone (so-called Altdorf marble)
12 x 10 x 15 cm

The name of the small sculpture is based on the black and white checkered fabric pattern Pepita (English 'shepherd's check', French 'pepita'). These are small, mostly black and white squares that are connected to one another by stripes running at right angles or diagonally. Through the 1950s, houndstooth, pepita, and vichy became mass flavors, and everything from car seat covers to coffee dishes was imprinted. The trend did not stop at Konrad Adenauer either, he preferred to wear a hat with a Vichy pattern on vacation in Italy in the 1950s. All three patterns were considered to be stuffy in the course of the 1960s, until various revivals began in the 1980s ...

This last caper made of the heavy, coarsely crystalline material changes in shades of white, green and blue.
